I had been pestering my Husband to order the diapers before we went for the catheter removal. He didn't. I was so stressed about the delay in the pathology report that I totally forgot. Come catheter removal day, in comes the Surgeon and first question was "ready with the diaper? Nurse is going to remove the catheter now". I offered to run down to the pharmacy and get them diapers while the nurse did the catheter, but Doctor laughed and said "dont bother, he would have peed down the floor by the time you come back. Better ask the Nurse for one" and left. The sweet young nurse got us one but it was totally wasted cause he didn't leak a drop!! Doctor was pleasantly surprised when he heard. Thank God for small (or should I say big?) mercies!
