Lupron is what is causing the hot flashes, Though if you are on Zytiga, it does make them worse. Don’t expect them to stop quickly either they can last for a year or more because your testosterone takes a while to come back. If you take Nubeqa Instead of Zytiga, it has almost no side effects, but works really great to keep your PSA down. Ask your doctor about it.
Stage 4B is pretty aggressive, Dying a prostate cancer is extremely painful. My father has his teeth ground down and crowned without Novacaine and came home every night for dinner. He died of prostate cancer in the last three weeks. He was in so much pain that the morphine made him unable to communicate.
My oncologist had me get Depo-provera Shots every three months and they really cut my hot flashes down to almost nothing. I had very strong, hot flashes. When I went on Zytiga, it made them come back, but the Wave device Helped a lot.
Another thing I got was an embrlabs.com Wave 2 device. It has two buttons one you can set for daytime, hot flashes, and one for night mode. It stopped my night sweats completely. The device cost $300 but with this code you can get it for $200. BFCM25. They have a 60 day moneyback guarantee.
If you buy one, you can post here And I can send you instructions for how to configure it for ideal use day and night.

4 Reactions@jrddaigle, I can understand being plain fed up with the side effects, especially the hot flashes. A lot of men have talked about coping with hot flashes. You might find some of this related discussion helpful:

Discontinuing treatment is always your choice. Have you talked about it with your cancer team to learn about what you might expect if you stopped all treatment in your particular situation?
