I also have Hashimoto’s but with Hypothyroidism. I treat Hypothyroidism with Synthroid a thyroid medication. I have eliminated certain foods after determining I have Hashimoto’s. Those foods are gluten, dairy and soy. No bread, milk/cheese or soy products, which are found in many packaged foods used for preserving. I also had a food sensitivity test done by blood lab and are staying away from Nightshade foods such as tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini etc. By doing this, my body inflammation has come way down and I do feel better. Sometimes even though your labs come back “within the normal range”, you may need medication. I also suffer from Long Covid and have had to deal with all of those symptoms as well! Be your own advocate and if you’re still not feeling well, find a new doctor that will treat your symptoms.

@lkirnbauer Is there any treatment for long covid?

@lkirnbauer I am really confused by your comment here. I have Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism, or more commonly known as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. But it’s not separate from hypothyroidism. It is an autoimmune disorder and most frequently treated with a synthetic thyroid hormone replacement. I’ve never heard of any treatment related to diet for it and it most likely doesn’t make any difference. You will still need to always take the hormone.
