@ana323 & @frankokush - I did a look into Google Scholar, and so far they do not seem to be addressing lungs (anywhere) or mycobacteria (except in passing). This will be another of those "stay tuned for further information" matters.
There are unique issues posed by lungs & mycobacteria, including the extremely slow growth of most strains, the biofilm, and all the deep hiding places. These are why the antibiotics take so long to work.
I expect to see the studies look at MRSA and eColi first, because they affect so many people.

@ana323 I see that you are going to NJH next week. Do you go once a year or is this your first visit. I ask because I have a question about induced sputum with a respiratory therapist at NJH.
