@indalee1959 I have been following your posts....and I could relate to the panic you felt, as I felt the same way. The word cancer it'self is enough to send you into a tailspin. Due to my age (74 at the time,) and past smoking (quit 9 years ago,) I did not qualify for surgery. It sounds like you may be getting the same treatment as I did. SBRT radiation treatment for five days. First I went to the radioligist to be mapped out for treatments. The Treatment was nothing more than feeling like I was getting a pet scan, each time. Nothing to it, and I really had no side effects for quite some time. I developed some neuropathy in my legs and my feet, cleared up after a few weeks of physical therapy. Right now I am dealing with a couple fractured ribs. I read that it is common with SBRT radiation treatments. I also have osteoporosis, so it is taking me some time to heal. The five treatments killed the cancer!
So I can't complain to much about the side effects. You should do just fine. God Bless
@indalee1959 what size is the stage 1 adenocarcinoma? So glad no lymph nodes are involved! How did your doctor determine that?

@indalee1959 I'm sure that wasn't the news you were hoping for, but I'm thankful the nodules were found early. I think your plan to talk to your hematologist oncologist and consider your treatment options in the context of your leukemia (treatment) is wise. I'm a big fan of second opinions and seeing the best doctor(s) that you can. I haven't had surgical or radiation treatment, so I'll let others weigh in on that.
