@nkoutz - here is a little more information on intercostal neuralgia. I had a very different type after having shingles, postherpetic neuralgia with horrible itching and tingling. Mine went away after 7 weeks of gabapentin. It seems you are talking more about the burning, sharp or shooting pain type of intercostal neuralgia. Ouch.

@lisalucier my Gi doctor said that it is possible to have intercostal Neuralgia but I have to see a neurologist. So i sent a message to that doctor but they are out of the office until the 7th.
