Pain under my Left Ribs that goes around to my back
I get pain under my left rib that goes around to my back. Many times it is worse when I eat but at times it worse if I move just right. It is tender to touch and feels bruised all the time. I was just diagnosed with CSID, is that part of it? I only have part of a stomach as I had weight surgery because I couldn't loose the weight I felt like crap all the time, no one would listen to me so I thought that was the answer but I really didn't loose the weight with the surgery either. It wasn't until I found a GI doctor out of U of M that ran the CSID test that found I have this rare disorder and I seem to have SIBO when they run that test. I have that test coming up next week and she believes I have it again for the second time. My CT can showed my spleen was normal size. I do have erosive gastritic of the stomach which means I can't take pain meds. I do have Fibromyalgia on top of all this to, so I have high pain tolerance They want me to see a Blood doctor for rare disorders. My issues is the pain under my rib cage, is it something I just have to learn to live with the rest of my life. Some times it takes my breath away. I'm tired of doctors and I dont want to live on meds the rest of my life, I'm only 49 years old and I have gotten off all meds but my migraine meds and acid reflux that I will have to be on the rest of my life. Any suggestion on the pain in my ribs?

Any possibility it's due to diabetic neuropathy?
First, sorry for your suffering from multiple issues …I have read that SIBO can cause neuropathy…is it true ?….sending healing thoughts…
Just asked my doctor if I could have Intercostal neuralgia -which means-occurs when a person experiences neuropathic pain in their ribs, chest, or abdomen. It may feel like a sharp, stabbing, aching, or burning pain. This describes my pain when I eat or move just right. I never heard of this until you mentioned diabetic neuropathy and I started googling. So thank you.

1 Reaction@nkoutz - here is a little more information on intercostal neuralgia. I had a very different type after having shingles, postherpetic neuralgia with horrible itching and tingling. Mine went away after 7 weeks of gabapentin. It seems you are talking more about the burning, sharp or shooting pain type of intercostal neuralgia. Ouch.

Did you get a response yet from your doctor, or did you just send a portal message to him or her?
