Just asked my doctor if I could have Intercostal neuralgia -which means-occurs when a person experiences neuropathic pain in their ribs, chest, or abdomen. It may feel like a sharp, stabbing, aching, or burning pain. This describes my pain when I eat or move just right. I never heard of this until you mentioned diabetic neuropathy and I started googling. So thank you.

@nkoutz - here is a little more information on intercostal neuralgia. I had a very different type after having shingles, postherpetic neuralgia with horrible itching and tingling. Mine went away after 7 weeks of gabapentin. It seems you are talking more about the burning, sharp or shooting pain type of intercostal neuralgia. Ouch.

Did you get a response yet from your doctor, or did you just send a portal message to him or her?
