I am looking for someone that has had a similar experience. TIA symptoms, was brought to the emergency room and admitted and treated as possible stroke patient. All tests come back negative for stroke related attack. Brain and heart and blood showed nothing indications of anything at all. Ruled out diabetic problems, medication problems, drinking or drug problems, physical or physical activity problems.

I have Functional Neurological Disorder. FND. Sometimes my body just freezes, and I can’t speak. It. Comes on suddenly and goes away about 15 minutes.

Have your symptoms presented just once? Might consider Migraine Head ache etiology. Some auras present that way and then may or may not be followed by migrainous headache. Great that your work-up was negative for all the major issues. If it continues you might want to consider a neurology consult for migraine headaches.

👋
Same thing with me. I was hospitalized 6 times in last 5 months for 1 TIA and others instances were possible TIA and severe left sided weakness. Also, they didn't rule out migraines, albeit I have never had a migraine in my life. Sigh.

My symptoms were:lightheaded, left side numbness, tingling, visual disturbances, feeling confused and mild facial droop.

My previous MRI demonstrated 2 past strokes. Chronic Infarcts.

My mother had numerous Tia episodes over several years. We were told nothing was seen on ct/mri which is usual since they are transient and leave no permanent damage. The diagnosis of Tia was confirmed when a ct scan was done during the episode and then showed nothing on a second scan a few hours later. Mom did end up with dementia (vascular due to decrease of blood flow in brain but not a clot)) and passed at 95. Signs of Tia was slurred speech, drooping eyelids etc. which appear like a stoke. They are often the precursor to a stroke and need to be evaluated.
