I recently found some new studies about poultry (chicken) but unfortunately never saved them - lately I just "take a memo" and implement or not implement according to my personal liking and understanding. Also, many members are not interested in those studies so I stopped cataloging them. Those were new studies about BCR since nobody did them before separately and specifically. Supposedly chicken and eggs have stronger effect for PC patients who already were diagnosed and treated - those who consumed eggs especially, and chicken with skin ( this was not so clear) had more BCR. I will try to find those studies again.
Somebody mentioned choline , and yes many researchers and authors think that excessive choline can be a culprit, but who knows , and I do not care. My husband now does not eat any eggs. He eats fish regularly, chicken in tiny amounts and very rarely, pure vegan meals at least 2 times a week.
All in all, after our surgeon confirmed and told my husband that the best thing he can do to avoid BCR was to avoid all animal products as much as he can (since he did studies personally and follows his patients for decades) , we decided to stick to veggies, fruit, all kind of fish, soy milk, vegan cheese, nuts, legumes, and list goes on and on : )). One can concentrate on "one thing " that is avoided or on many, MANY things that are NOT and than one does not feel deprived at all : ).
Nothing gives 100% warranty - not even radiation or RP , not even close, but they help !!! So that is our philosophy - do what you can to help yourself, all the rest is written in the stars ; ) .
