I had the same concern for my husband. He was Gleason 8 in August but wasn't scheduled for his RALP until November. I was a nervous wreck. I even considered trying to find a different surgeon.

Ultimately I trusted that the well-respected surgeon at UCLA knew what he was doing. My husband's surgery happened two weeks ago, and everything went great.

So try not to stress. The time will pass and before you know it, you will be on the other side and healing.
