@maryalinker Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! Thank you for posting your experience with this walking aid. It's really good to have people tell us what works for them, and what doesn't. Did you try any other assisted mobility device before settling on this one, may I ask?

@gingerw the Alinker is the only motility device I’ve purchased. I’m pretty familiar with walkers and I own canes and hiking sticks, but the Alinker offers something unique— providing support and stability while offering the opportunity to strengthen & build muscle and a chance to be mobile in a way that compares favorably to walking unaided. Since buying my Alinker, I have seen pictures of a 2-wheeled walking bike, but the Alinker seems to me a better fit as it allows me to simply sit without being concerned about balancing.
