Anyone had Cervical Laminoplasty & still have Hand Numbness?

Does anyone who had a cervical laminoplasty or any cervical surgery still have hand or finger numbness and/or tingling?

I am post Cervical Laminoplasty 3years and still have bilateral hand/finger numbness but also developed neck stiffness post-surgery. I have tried most all the alternative treatments from Acupuncture, Acoustic Wave Therapy to Medical Massage and everything in between including PT, Fascial Therapy and Dry Needling with no improvement over the years. I do have a 2mm Cervical Myelomalacia at C4-5 with no progression. I take 1800mg Gabapenten daily and know that without it I would feel much worst. My Neurologist indicated it is permanent nerve damage and nothing else can be done.
The question always remains, is there anyone else that has experienced my medical condition and what was the course of medical or alternative treatment that helped you improve?

Hi, I see that you've seen your neurologist but have you seen an orthopedic surgeon? Perhaps have an EMG? "Could be", could not be... I never take the first 'answer'. Always advocate for yourself. You are allowed to get a second opinion- my personal preference is Mayo or Cleveland Clinic... but that's just me. I've had multiple surgeries and multiple fusions with Radiculopathy and pain postop.

My Cervical Laminoplasty was done by an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon, and he pretty much referred me to a Neurologist for further testing such as Blood work for Autoimmune diseases, Nerve blocks and Botox injection for neck stiffness.
There really is nothing to re-operate on as my spinal stenosis was corrected, but the Bilateral Hand Numbness and Tingling plus forearm heaviness was not corrected. If I was to see a Neurosurgeon for a second opinion, I can almost guess the opinion render; an ACDF. Nope not interested. Now the Mayo Clinic in Las Vegas NV is geared toward Dementia not for my Neurological condition.
Yes, I have had multiple EMG/NCT's pre- and post-surgery. My last test was performed by a well-educated Neurologist regarding Interpretation of EMG/NCT testing. Results pointed toward Bilateral Carpal Tunnel. The very first EMG/NCT prior to surgery indicated CTS, and I did see a Hand Surgery. Hands were injected and there was no improvement in the numbness/tingling bilaterally of the hands. Peripheral Neuropathy was the preliminary diagnosis prior to seeing the Surgeon.
As I said in my first posting, I have tried most everything to give me some reduction in the bilateral hand numbness and tingling. I was looking for some guidance even outside western medicine (tried Acupuncture and Dry Needling) if that be the case. Thank you for posting your comment.
