I am glad to see you comment, @marilynmiller. How wonderful that after dealing with GI problems you finding some improvement. I am hopeful this will lead to more as you continue working with your current providers.

I am not sure who you wrote your comment to when you mention you have had the same problem. What symptoms have you been dealing with, and how has your treatment improved them? What prompted finally getting a diagnosis and on a path towards improvement? Do you take MiriLAX?

I have been dealing with constipation for as long as I can remember. All
medicines have failed. Well, I'll say they worked a little. And then after a
while, they didn't work anymore. My last doctor was very nice but seemed to
be losing patience with me. She did say finally after I demanded another
colonoscopy.Okay, even though you've had it a couple of years ago after the
colonoscopy.Let me know that I had a torturous colon and she could hardly
get the scope through. And she said, in my case, this was causing some of
the constipation, because the feces couldn't move through even though a
torturous colon usually doesn't create. It's big a problem as I was having.
She also believed that my sphincter muscles were not working correctly. And
I had a motivity test. And in that test to confirm that the strength
muscles were not working. So I was sent to a surgeon. Two months ago I had
the procedure done that.I cited in my last reply. The muscle was dilated,
and also botox was done. Now the muscle is being regulated. It takes about
two months to regulate and perhaps the bots would be necessary.Every three
months. And I use a stool softener or mirolax and also a fiber additive
when I feel it's necessary. I at least have some hope. And I tell everybody
at this point i'm about 70% functional which is a blessing. The pelvic
floorPhysical therapy exercises are done at least five times a week. And if
this is the best it gets, it's far better than what it was.Where I was
carrying at least seven pounds of feces.
