PET Scan: Does this mean I have lung cancer?

When my PET/CT was done, something "lit up"in my upper esophagus in addition to my timor. My surgeon and my oncologist asked me to see an ENT (who of course couldn't get down that far in the office) so NOW they are scheduling me for a sedated endoscopy. Here goes my panic again. I'm sorry - I hope you find out some answers soon. As I know first hand and I am sure you have heard on here....not knowing is the worst part.

@rcerwin3, I'm sorry that you are facing another biopsy so soon after surgery. I'm sure it's stressful, even though you know that the PET scan can show inflammation. It's not always bad news. Has the endoscopy been scheduled?
