Hey christophers, So sorry for your situation! I have heard of this but not in relation to biopsy.
A friend suffered with urinary retention for years and went to many different Uros - none who could help.
Finally, a young female urologist said his problem was that his bladder was so stretched out after years of retention, that it had lost its ability to signal/sense when the bladder was full.
She performed a bladder reduction surgery and almost instantly he was able to urinate like a normal person. I’m sure there is a technical -ectomy or -otomy for this but I don’t know it!
He too was forced to catheterize many times daily and he told me that he was seriously contemplating doing himself in if no one could help him. Thankfully, this surgeon had the guts and skill to basically save his life…
