@beaquilter About 8 months before my recurrent PCa diagnosis, My glucose and A1C put me at the high end of the pre-diabetes range. I’ve never been a big sugar eater, but I cut out sugar and products containing sugar entirely. Stevia is my only sweetener. I also made sure that I balanced carbs with protein and fats when I ate. I lost about eight ponds, my energy level through the day really evened out, my mood in general was just better, and my glucose and A1C came back into normal range. All this has helped not only physically, but mentally, in dealing with my cancer relapse and getting through eight weeks of radiation therapy (just finished last week). In an odd way, the pre-diabetes “wake up” was a positive development. If nothing else, a healthy diet just improves quality of life, which is reason alone to carry on.

@melvinw My husband has always eating pretty well, cut carbs, no sugar etc.
He's always been a gym rat too (weight lifting)
So it just goes to show that you can be healthy and work out and you can still get cancer!
You can also eat garbage and stuff and live a long life!
