the rabbits tooth ( as I call it ) sits in the middle of the splint ( glued in at the time the splint is made.). the idea is that it keeps the bottom jaw forward. Any one use such a thing??

I started CPAP therapy 6 months ago. I fought the process, but I can tell you it’s the best thing I ever did. Sleep all night most nights and when I do wake, I go back to sleep easily.

I started CPAP last December. I have moved to a BIPAP and oxygen. I have some good nights and some bad nights with this system. That said, I am much more optimistic that we are moving to a system that works for me. I started with nasal pillow and have worked my way through several masks ending with a full face mask. I recently had some dental surgery that required me to go back to the nose pillows combining it with the hose from the top which I didn't have the first go round. This time that system is working. I am convinced the hose in the top is best for side/stomach sleepers because it doesn't interfere with arm movement. I have had the oxygen supplement for a week now and feel it is making a difference.

I don't have TMJ anymore. But I am recovering from head and neck cancer and I use a band that might work for you. I use the "Universal" model. Its very soft and you can wear it as tight or loose as you want. My husband wore it with an ice pack when he had a tooth problem. Here is the website.
