Has anyone developed breast lymphedema after surgery and radiation?

I am 4 months post surgery followed by 1 week of radiation. I have lymphedema in my breast that has not responded to manual drainage and compression garments. Worried that this will not resolve. Has anyone had this experience?

I only had 3 lymph nodes removed but developed breast lymphedema. I am not seeing improvement with compression garments, and am awaiting insurance approval for pneumatic pump. Has anyone had improvement with compression garments? I

Yes and just keep going until it is drained. However many times it takes!
I was so swollen and in pain but because of Covid, my surgeon wouldn’t see me. I still had stitches in that were ripping out!
I finally went to the office waiting room and told them I was taking off my shirt and waiting until I got some help. The surgeon finally saw me and had to cut open my incision. The fluid flooded the room! I had to go back three times before the wound stopped filling up and started to heal.
The doctors should help you through this. Don’t let them make you feel like foolish or a pest. It is their responsibility to help you!

(The relief incision had to stay open due to infection risks). The fluid flooded the room! I had to go back three times before the wound stopped filling up and started to heal.
