@beachesanddreams I chose to get the shots in my stomach. The two shots were administered simultaneously by two nurses. After my first round of injections I did have an allergic reaction around my stomach and down onto my thighs - red and puffy almost like a super bad sunburn plus itchy. Initially my doctor said that we would stop - but knowing this was the best option for me, I wanted to give it another try. Ever since my first round, I've been taking a Benadryl before and a Benadryl after and haven't had any more allergic reactions. The injections themselves aren't fun and the area is typically sensitive for a day or two after (sometimes a bit longer depending on the skill of the injector) but in the big scheme of things, at least in my case, it was a small price to pay. Good luck with your appt, keep us posted on your journey. 🙏
