I took 1000 mg of Abiraterone on an empty stomach and at least 1 hour before a meal and then did the 5mg of Prednisone with a meal, so I did this at 11am and 12pm respectively. When I complained about hot flashes, dr. reduced the Abiraterone to 750mg, whether it had a measurable impact is debatable. He indicated that because people have such different diets and types of food consumption, that while it is fine to take Abiraterone with food in much smaller doses, that the type of food and metabolism rates vary so much, that the guidance is less clear, so he didn't advise going that approach.

The hot flashes are from low testosterone not specifically from abiraterone. If you are also on ADT, that is as much at fault. I did have a lot more hot flashes when I was on abiraterone, But I had a lot when I was just on ADT.
It is unlikely to make any difference at all to reduce the amount of abiraterone, Because your testosterone gets reduced below 20 very quickly. One thing it may reduce is the amount of brain fog abiraterone causes.
I know a few people that are taken 250 mg of Abbie with a low-fat breakfast and have the exact same medical result as taking four pills with an empty stomach. It must be a low-fat meal. Some doctors let their patients do this some doctors don’t recommend it.
