@hepeak1736 be careful. Voice and likeness of people are “stolen” by AI now.
We can’t believe what we hear or see anymore.
“Celebrities” like the doctors you named, are targets for AI rip-off.
I researched Takeda Pharmaceuticals. I doubt they would produce products for neuropathy. They are focused on oncology, rare diseases, neuroscience, gastroenterology, plasma therapy and vaccines. Maybe neuroscience but I just doubt it.
Honey is great for neurological diseases like MS. From what I’ve read it seems not to help Poly Neuropathy.
I know there isn’t a cure for PN, and we are desperately looking for relief so we need to be careful.
Have you done any research?

9 Reactions@hepeak1736 Hola! I am familiar with manuka honey, but not for PN specifically. Usually, it is used for healing wounds, but I'm sure it has multiple purposes. I know it can't hurt, at least. Now, Ashwaghanda - my friend uses that to calm her pain levels and she swears by it. Though, she only uses it in moderation - i.e. when absolutely necessary or she's hit a "low." I've personally never tried it, so I cannot vouch for it. Would be interested to hear what you find out about either one! Good luck to you.

What type of neuropathy do you have, small or large fiber?
Nutrition and supplements may help or cause more problems, depending on the type and compare of your neuropathy. My experience is there isn’t a “cure” for neuropathy. The root cause of what is causing neuropathy is usually what is treated (diabetes, vitamin deficiencies or toxicities, stopping alcohol/smoking/caping, etc.)

1 ReactionAre you talking about eating manuka honey or putting it on your skin? It does not sound like a credible possibility for PN to me, but I do like to eat it and I have used it on my facial skin as a masque with good results in skin care. We also used it on a serious wound on our dog, at the veterinarian's directions, with excellent healing results. But in any event high quality manuka costs a fortune and it would be very pricey to put it on lower legs and/or feet for PN.

2 ReactionsI started putting it in my coffee each morning along with powered bone broth. I think I have more energy, but I also doubt what I am buying is really for any therapeutic relief (if that is even possible) because as someone else stated, it can be expensive. What I am taking is not overly costly. I know there are different grades of this type of honey, so maybe some would be more beneficial. Most traditional doctors would most likely not be knowledgeable in alternative medicines, but maybe a naturopath. (?) My pain was the result of an injury. I have been going to a very good acupuncturist with growing success. Just another option to consider.
@SusanEllen66 Totally agree, especially with the AI aspect. There are some actors who are considering suing for the misuse of their voices. Scary, to say the least.
As someone else mentioned I have only seen manuka honey used in wound healing and it has been used for years like that. I think I first saw it used as a student nurse and that was in the early 80’s. I don’t know how it would work systemically and I have never heard of it for a neuropathy treatment. Sorry. Research may be your friend. It is quite expensive as the true m@nuka honey comes from New Zealand. Good luck.

1 Reactionis there a link from fuel tainted water on ships to neuropathy?
Welcome @daveroofer, Good question, like a lot of different toxins it seems logical that there could be a connection but I'm not sure how fuel would get in the water on ships. Being a tin can sailor who served on 2 different ships the taste of water could sometimes be a little funky once the fresh water tanks ran out and we were using sea water that was run through the ship's onboard distillation process.
Found a few articles that mention a connection:
-- Study tentatively links migraines to Navy’s fuel-tainted tap water in Hawaii

Were you exposed to fuel tainted water on a ship?
