@SusanEllen66 actually I know for a fact in some cases damaged nerves can regenerate as I have personally experienced it in a frostbitten finger that lost all sensation. It slowly returned over a 6 week period afterwards to completely normal. That is why I have some hope for relief from my PN. Nonetheless, I am very much shying away from the chiropractic practice that wants >$12K for a 12 month program that they claim has a 95%+ success rate in stopping progression of PN, but when I asked the salient question of how much improvement do they see with that success rate it is less than 50%. It is sad that area of healthcare preys on the desperate and less inquisitive with regard to clear scientific evidence for their claims. I’ve not seen anything that clearly works as far as pushing a halt to progression and resolution of PN symptoms short of topicals such as lidocaine or some creams such as capsaicin, menthol or eucalyptus oil which only provide very temporary relief when they work in certain cases.
