@blueberre is it possible that your dosage of synthroid can be adjusted…my doc has kept mine quite low in recent years (even has me split a pill so I get 1/2 dose 2x a week) and thyroid levels are fine…sometimes the dose we start on is too high as we age…? all a big question as I am not a doctor ! There are different forms of calcium, another area to explore- some may be better absorbed, easier on the gut. It gets complicated if someone is taking a lot of meds…good luck to all !!

Seeing an endocrinologist next month. Hopefully better versed than my GP in all things Hashimotos. Also for now depending on calcium rich foods for my calcium and ditching any and all calcium pills. I was surprised to find that many foods besides dairy have calcium. I also found a bone supplement that has no calcium in it. Based on annatto, although I am guessing that may have issues in the long run.
