Sorry. The links I sent address the use of gabapentin.

Here's one that addresses lyrica and also discusses possibilities of heart failure.

@georgescraftjr I appreciate this information.
However, the one time I was prescribed Neurontin in a 900mg dose-it made half of my head numb for hours.
I was not introduced to Lyrica until years later-and in small doses. It never was a problem.
I have had 2 MRIs done of my brain, the last one in 2024. No voids nor other signs of dementia. I attribute a long history of being a professional horn player as well as recreational video games and plenty of science fiction.
This is just ‘me’. My dad was a concert pianist who lived to 91 - dementia-free.
My mom never took Lyrica, but consumed pounds of chocolate. She lived to be 83, had type 2 diabetes and two bouts of shingles. She suffered from dementia - only recognizing family members. A massive brainstem stroke made her vegetative. She passed the next day after the family voted to discontinue life support.
Again, I repeat: I am Not a doctor and we are all differently made.
So far, a high dose of pregabalin makes it so I can walk a lot better, despite lumbar stenosis.
I rest my own case.
