To those who take esomeprazole or alike. Did the medication elevate your blood pressure? I am looking for the reason of my suddenly high BP. It’s esomeprazole or brinsupri. From my regular 110-120 suddenly yesterday it was 140. My GI answered that esomeprazole should not do it so I guess it’s brinsupri but NJH doctor never responded to my email. I will try calling today my ambassador there.

@lilianna I started taking Brinsupri 8 days ago, and I noticed a spike in my blood pressure, but not enough to worry about. We need to keep an eye on the BP.

@lilianna whenever I go to the doctor my blood pressure sky rockets because even if I don’t feel anxious apparently my body does react to the visit. It is possible it is neither medication. Try taking it at home and see what numbers show up. I definitely would not say it is the gerd med.
