I am a female however I had a persistent high risk hpv for 4 years. My doctor kept saying there is nothing I can do to get rid of it. Finally after years of being gaslit, I took AHCC for about 6 months and it cleared my infection

@girlypop what is AHCC?
@girlypop I took a look to see what studies were done on the AHCC. Came across this recent study done in 2022. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35814366/ AHCC® Supplementation to Support Immune Function to Clear Persistent Human Papillomavirus Infections Small sample used for study, but looks like they had some good results with the use of AHCC. Unfortunately, that is just one study that I found. But like all supplements, need to check with your docs to make sure it does not cause any interactions with prescribed medications. Also, I think one of the docs at City of Hope (California) has been doing some research in the use of mushroom type supplements.

@girlypop Hi and welcome to Connect. It is my understanding that most people, above 90% have some form of the HPV. Certain strains of HPV under the right conditions such as a low immune system may start a cancer.
What is not known is after cancer treatment, does HPV stop causing cancer in the patient?
