@dogrocketp I think you better suggest to your doctor that you should go on “vacation @ since you have 0 PSA. And then start taking Orgovyx again when your PSA goes up like.5 or 1 whatever you agreed with your doctor. I have read a few in this blog that they were told to go on vacation when their PSA is less than .1 so why not try it. You been suffering from continuing to take the medication, so take a break.

I don’t see anywhere that @dogrocketp has posted his PSA results.

It is possible they are undetectable. Usually the recommendation to get off ADT is based on having a year or two of undetectable PSA. He’s only been on it for nine months so it may be too early to stop.

Definitely something to talk to the doctor about.

In his case, he could switch over to the estradiol patch. The patch study showed that it was as effective as ADT, but had many fewer side effects.

My PSA is zero, and everything else is normal. I’m not suffering from constipation. I have always had an exceptionally healthy diet. So far I’ve tried low fiber, high fiber, no spice, + vegetarian. I have never been a high consumer of red meat. I’m currently working with several small meals as a plan. I have gained 25 pounds and 4” in my waistline. I walk or Exercycle every day, and work with an incredible exercise physiologist. It’s much too early in the course of treatment to consider a “vacation.” I am a performing musician, and the pain can be debilitating. That is my concern. It’s on to my PCP for her suggestions.

Completing 11 months ADT and have chronic diarrhea that started during radiation that ended in April. Typically 3-5 urgent BMs , mostly morning. Imodium usually limits to three episodes. PCP, RO have no other suggestions. Orgovyx site suggests BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) diet, but no change. Sorry!

I find I have more constipation from ADT Drugs than I do diarrhea. Almost never have diarrhea. It is a common side effect of radiation, For some people that can last a long time, but yours seems a little extreme.

Then again that’s me, one side effect of Orgovyx is diarrhea, Sorry to hear Imodium isn’t working well, it’s supposed to be the best solution.

You might contact your medical provider and ask to speak to a palliative care doctor. They can work with you to try to resolve this problem.

Hello! I’m 9 months into an 18 month course of treatment on Orgovyx. I seem to be a poster child for bad side effects, especially gastrointestinal. I’m 74 years old, and was previously in good health. My biggest issue is cramping, although there is bloating, weight gain, fatigue, joint pain, and swollen hands. So far I’ve tried different diets, different times of the day, and both an empty and full stomach. While my PSA is zero and my markers look good, I’ve gotten no answers from my doctors other than varying amounts of gas-x depending on the severity of the cramps. They go from a pain level of 2 to a pain level of 9. It’s brutal. This week I’m seeing my PCP to see if she can further guide me to a GI doc. I sleep 9-12 hours a night, work with an exercise physiologist, and have always watched my diet very carefully, with red meat treated as a condiment. Has anyone found a reliable method of relief? I will post if my test results give a good clue as to resolving this. Stay as well as possible.

@dogrocketp look into FODMAP diet…tailored for IBS and other GI disorders. Who knows what ADT does to every single individual?

I was told to take it at night before bedtime
It does increase the amount of gas
