Hi @myra, did your doctor say why he wanted you to cease the metoprolol immediately? From what I understand, ceasing metoprolol shouldn't cause those symptoms.

This is what the clinical pharmacist said. He said its changing one beta blocker to another beta blocker. He said that I just experience some side effect which will be noted.

I was on metoprolol for yrs and just stopped never had a prob. My prob is carvedilol it has caused me ado many probs i just wanna drop it but am afraid considering how strong it is. Metoprolol i never had side effects on or off just didn't seem to help 200mg of it once a day cause i was actually on the time releasrd name brand toprol xl.
