Geez Hope you are going through a LOT, and that's a massive understatement. I admire you for fighting your way through this, and sharing your story here.

My lumbar spine is help together by a strong set of core muscles. Even so, my back is very stiff when I wake up and start moving. I have tried acupuncture recently, on a cruise, with some success and plan to continue. (Medicare Part B covers acupuncture treatment of the lower back.)

Stay strong Hope, and all the best to you. You are a fighter!

Joe

Thank you so much, Joe. It has been very hard for me but I hold onto my faith and take one day and one painful step at a time.

I had a full body massage on Friday which was my first in over 5 years! It was great to help relax very tight and painful muscles. I definitely need to focus on better self care. I’ve neglected myself too long.

It is good to know you have had success with acupuncture. I have never tried it but willing to try it. How do you recommend finding a good acupuncturist?

I wish I had your strong core muscle! I used to have a strong core and strength and flexibility in my limbs but that feels so long ago. I miss my flexible self that used to love to dance and get on the floor to stretch and do splits! 🙂
