@colonel0808 1st off, you are in the right place. But from your question, I assume you know nothing about aneurysms. So, start looking up or googling every word you do not understand. For instance, I would trade you my ascending aorta aneurysm and root aneurysm for your abdominal one any day of the week. That's because I will eventually need open heart surgery to fix them and 2 months to recover. You on the other hand will require a one inch incision in your groin and a tube with a stint will be inserted up to the aneurysm. Out in two days and two weeks later you won't know you had a problem. Maybe an oversimplification, but the success rate for your surgery is better than 98% so, not to worry. But like one other suggested, find a good aorta specialist and you will do just fine and thanks for your service colonel.
