I can totally see why. It's very difficult to see clarity when you don't (at least I don't) have much faith in the medical community as a whole. When I was getting my training, 100 years ago, I felt most of the time I was around people who cared. I have been rethinking that. I thought about a pt. that was in a wheelchair near the nurses station, definitely distressed. These were all seasoned nurses. They had been in clinic much longer than I had. But, maybe because I had been hospitalized so many times, I saw her distress. I asked if she wanted to be in a exam room right away. Turns out she had just come from chemo and was horribly sick. She unwrapped her scarf. She was so sick, she felt no embarrassment. I offered her ice chips. Was anything I did a big deal? Nope. But my point is, we are all people who need to be seen and heard. We need to know our options and be given truthful facts about outcomes. I hope compassion starts to return, and striving for profits diminish. I just want to have someone care and from that, offer honest help. Not trying to be sanctimonious. I'm just tired....like many other in here.

@nannybb 100% totally agree health system here is a disaster also like I've been told in July I've a tumor I've half some of it removed in Sept and noting since then just waiting on surgery now been told don't worry about the half that was removed growing back as these tumors are very slow growing that is not maken me feel better i want it gone and was expecting it to be gone back in July not nearly 5 months after I was diagnosed
