Has anyone tried this device? It requires a prescription.

Osteoboost has some science behind it that Marodyne does not. Keep in mind that Osteoboost is recommended for osteopenia, not osteoporosis. It’s really unconscionable that Marodyne keeps hyping an expensive product that does not work. My endo refused to prescribe Osteoboost but I ordered it anyway. They are very backlogged so expect to wait months to get it.

@zhaner, i’m wondering why it is only recommended for osteopenia? Wouldn’t it still be effective for osteoporosis but maybe on a lesser level?

I don’t know but I am guessing that the research show improvement for osteopenia but not for osteoporosis. However, I didn’t read their research—maybe they didn’t test on those with osteoporosis.

@izziesue, I believe it is because their research used subjects with osteopenia so that is the only claim they can make.

I have had an Osteoboost belt since late May. Just had to send it back for a repair and will be without it for a few weeks 🙁 It’s easy to use. Can’t comment on results yet. Have a DXA in December.

I believe the study of the Osteoboost was on women with osteopenia, not osteoporosis. I ordered the osteoboost late last year and did not get the device until mid-August. I've been using it about 5 days a week and received my latest DEXA earlier this month. I have osteoporosis in my lumbar spine and osteopenia in my hips. My DEXA. T scores were as follows: March 2023 October 2025
Lumbar Spine -3.6 -4.0
Femoral Neck L -2.4 -2.1
Total Hip L -2.0 -1.6
So after about 2 months of wearing Osteoboost, a slight improvement in the osteopenia in my hips and my osteoporosis in my spine is slightly worse. I have also been spending time over the past two years focusing on weight training, so I can't attribute this decrease totally to Osteoboost. I'm interested to see what the long term use of Osteoboost will affect these numbers.

@carol8765 One person in my exercise group has gotten hers. It took 4 months.

@zhaner When did that person order? I ordered in December 2024 (prescription was confirmed received in early January 2025) and I have not yet received the device. I am curious about others' experiences.

@zhaner They have had my money since December 2024 and my prescription since January 13, 2025 and I am also being told I may receive it by end of November. I have received 3 rounds of "updates" (June, August, October) and still no confirmation that it has shipped.
