I am 72. At age 63 I was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma breast cancer, stage 1. It was not in the lymph nodes. To be sure they did a lumpectomy and a lymphectomy. It had spread into the fatty tissue of the breast. Three rounds of chemo, 31 rounds of radiation and 5 years of letrozol. I had osteoporosis and was taking Prolia before the diagnosis. I stopped all Prolia during my treatment until my next DexaScan two years later. I had gone from -2 to -4 on some of my bones. I started back on the Prolia, but not soon enough. After a left shoulder break, a spiral fracture of the right upper arm, fractured T6 and T8 vertebrae, Kyphoplasty of the T6, I started Bone-Up by Jarrow and Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. Later, I used Ultra Bone-UP (2 at night) and Regular Bone-Up (1 in the morning). My next Dexascan had me at osteopenia with two spots still in the -1 and -2 range. All 3 seem to be working very well. When I went back for my x-ray after my broken left shoulder healed, the dr. said he could not even see where it had been broken! At age 68, I finished all my meds for cancer and at 72 and am almost as strong as I was before.
