Blood test specific for chronic fatigue syndrome

Posted by slatesslates1 @slatesslates1, Nov 12, 2025

I heard that there is one specific blood test for chronic fatigue syndrome that looks at biometric DNA specific to CFS. Anyone know if it is available in the USA and where can it be done and is there a specific name for that test? All I can find is ME/CFS. Thank you. I was recently diagnosed but doubt the diagnosis and if it is not CF then what is my problem? The sooner I find out the sooner I can treat it hopefully not let something else go on and do harm or go past the option for treatment.

slatesslates1, there hasn't been a specific test for chronic fatigue syndrome. And though this isn't available yet, there's hope https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2025/11/251102205021.htm

The Bateman Horne Center has good information on the diagnostic criteria for ME/CFS, as well as a list of testing to rule out other possible conditions.

I ended up calling the lab that does the specific blood test for CF/ME and I just got the following voice message. This is Ellen with Oxford Biodynamics, and I'm calling, uh, returning a phone call that we had received, um, regarding a new chronic fatigue syndrome, uh, test that, uh, Oxford Biodynamics has has developed. Um, this test is not currently in the market, uh, for doctors to order for their patients. Um, we are in the process of trying to get that to happen. Um, but please keep a lookout on our website, oxfordbiodynamics.com for updates regarding uh, when that test is released to the market. It's uh for chronic fatigues syndrome. Thank you so much for your call and for your interest. Take care. Bye
