Non pharmacological tx for osteoporosis?
I am a 55 year old female in Iowa who recently completed my first Dexa scan. My t-score was a -2.9, indicating osteoporosis😬 I wasn’t expecting this!!
I walk daily, don’t smoke, no alcohol, etc.
I drink one can of pop daily.
My question… I don’t want to do a prescription for the osteoporosis. Has anyone had luck with other things that have worked?

Sounds like the same! I've been taking this for years. Hope you like it too.

Read Dr John Lees book.
In enclosing a link to his website because searching Dr. John Lee brings up several names.
https://www.johnleemd.com/
He passed away several years ago.
In his practice, he found that Estrogen dominance was a problem. Especially during the time prempro and the likes were being prescribed by their doctors in the1980s and/or 1990s to many women. (My mom was one, but never had breast cancer)
In his practice, the women who were estrogen dominant were voluntarily put on progesterone cream.
According to Dr. Lee, he saw outstanding results in reversing osteoporosis. Yes, Reversing osteoporosis by his patients taking Progesterone cream (or yam cream)
Did he have a clinical study on this?
I dont think so. He was very busy as a practicing doctor who saw patterns in his patients and researched. He found that progesterone or yam cream offset the estrogen via monitoring his patients result. Its in his book.
Women who have or who have had progesterone positive cancer SHOULD NOT do this unless counseled by their doctors.
I hope this information helps.
Best!

Yes- had my first dexa at 65 and I was shocked. I’ve had high cholesterol so I had not been eating dairy or protein like I should have. I am working out daily, ( weights, jumping program, balance training etc) keeping track of my calcium and protein. Added collagen, fortibone ,and k2 supplements. Hoping to not have to take any meds.

1 Reaction@oopsiedaisy , if you don't mind my asking this, I've been looking for someone who took a biphosphonate and then an anabolic. I finished 5 years of Actonel 15 years ago and then nothing after that (it did not increase my BMD). I am about to start on Forteo. Just wondering if the anabolics are working for you after the Fosamax. Thanks.
