When I hear this song I’m not thinking about a love relationship but of the rollercoaster of life when some times/things seem so right then go so wrong. “Built a home” as a metaphor for built a career job, a friendship, a family relationship, a favorite place. Some times things go so great and then I can just watch it crumble before my eyes.
Probably living 70 years has given me the opportunity to experience many ups and downs.
Watching it burn down . . . have you felt that?
It’s intense.

We have A LOT going on in our family right now and the song that keeps running through my mind is, "He walks with me and naught of Earth shall harm me, for I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God." That reminder brings me great peace when the pain won't let up and one of the kids call with less than positive news.

@zenren14 Emmylou Harris. Although Miley's cover of "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica (with help from Elton John and Yo Yo Ma) made me respect her more.
