My post davinci tadalafil prescription
My first post davinci tadalafil 'script bottle said 5mg every 3 days instead of daily. Still have ed after 2 years. Could this be behind it? My Urologist swears she called in the correct dosage and blamed it on the pharmacy. Anyway, for 10 months I was taking 1/3rd of what I should have had. Thanks for your input.

That sounds unusual.
I was on 5mg daily for weeks before the surgery & after.
I was put on 5mg per day a month before surgery and 12 months post surgery. I also went on L-Citrulline as a supplement for the same span of time. I'm a bit nervous about coming off those things in a few months but anxious to know if it's me or the drugs, and I'm pretty sure it's me, given certain evidence.
But, at least you have 1/3rd, so the chemical is in your blood stream and maybe that plays to your benefit when you go to the more common 5mg a day.
Ya...I hear you...and you'll hear from other men here too. I was given 5 mg dosage as well. I kept reading here about all of the men taking 20 mg doses. I was confused. My urologist said that the 5 mg "to start" is to aid in circulatory recovery, and to prevent some scarring...a positive side effect of the drug from its normal use in treating ED. The 5 mg dose is not meant to turn you back into a bull or a stallion. I was on the 5 mg 'daily" dose for 5 months, and then I was switched to the 20 mg dose "every other day." I still have ED issues, absolutely a "limp biscuit", wet noodle down there. I have been told by my urologist, and I have read here and elsewhere, that for a man in his 60's and 70's, full sexual, erectile function is not likely restored for about a year post-op. You'll be battling other frustrations between "Day #1 Post-op to 6-7 months post-op, so it will suddenly seem like it isn't too far away for that full one-year post-op, and the hopeful return of sexual function. I am "counting on it." As a 70 year old man, I had full function on command prior to surgery, so I am hoping and planning on a return to that by next April when I hit my one-year post-op anniversary. Good luck to you.

1 ReactionNever heard of 5mg every third day...
After my surgery my urologist prescribed 5mg daily... coming up on 12 years.
My surgery was nerve sparing, both times I did ADT I did not lose my libido nor the ability to achieve erections and orgasms. Granted, they were dry and required greater physical and mental stimulation....
My doctors do an annual prescription and at our annual wellness exam ask if I'm experiencing any side effects, when I say no they renew it.
I use GoodRx so around $25-30 for a 90 day supply.

2 ReactionsAs much as I shake my head at the American health system, at least Cialis is cheap.
Down in NZ, it costs $220 for 28 5mg Cialis & $50 for the off-brand type.
So 90 days would be around $650.
My surgeon put me on 10 mg. Cialis daily pretty much immediately after my RALP. It's still a bit soon to "test" its effectiveness.
What type of surgery did you have with pre op??
I had turp sugery last year and I take the 5mg tadafil daily seems to help a bit with an erection but also have a 20mg tadafil for a better erection. The lady urologist suggested I put on a penis ring at the base of my penis to keep the blood flow in my penis. I have tried that and seems my cock to put it bluntly gets very hard for vaginal penetration, or mastubating.
@sandguy
Oops, correction FWIW, he actually prescribed that immediately following our post-surgery consultation about two weeks after the surgery, NOT immediately after the surgery.
The idea I believe is just to maintain good blood flow to The Organ.
I have been taking 5mg per day, and 20 mg per day two days a week as a booster, whether for sex or just to help with the blood flow.
@kujhawk1978 Yes I never heard of 5mg every third day - even the pharmacist should question this ! I pick up these pills overseas . Picked up a 12 pack of 100mg Viagra ( no name brand) for 7 dollars . Worked well. A lot lower priced than in Canada . Also bought some in Vietnam and Malaysia - also very cheap . Canada normally have low drug prices , except for these drugs it seems.
