I have osteoarthritis and psoriatic arthritis, and found the article interesting. But not my experience. I have had issues with my hands for 25 years that slowly limited my abilities, and dactylitis in my thumb and toes for 2 years until I started the carnivore diet. The dactylitis has been in remission for 1 year and the constant, severe pain in my hands from the osteoarthritus is gone. I still know when I use my hands too much gardening or crocheting, but I have resumed these activities. I have had no shoulder or knee flareupas as well. I pray it continues, and that if you try a low or no purine diet with no positive results, maybe you too would benefit from the carnivore diet. I was desperate, and grateful for the reprieve.

@juliepsa64 I'm glad you found some relief. I was raised on a farm and been a hard-core carnivore all my life. As I've aged I've eaten less meat, less of everything. But I still crave meat. I've noticed an increase in big toe pain and general stiffness/pain after meals. Ham and pork particularly. But have found cherry juice relieves the gout significantly. And within 24-48 hours. Now I drink it regularly and it does seem to help.
