I had major problems with Lipitor and other statin type cholesterol drugs. They just about crippled me and my ability to get around and walk. About 10 years ago when I was put on, it was out to dinner with friends and when I got up to go to the bathroom and they saw me walking they asked my wife If I had a serious medical problem. I found out it was the statin that was crippling me.

This isn’t normal most people don’t have this problem. There are other drugs that are not statins that can reduce your cholesterol. Just something to be aware of.

I’ve always had low cholesterol so it didn’t make sense to be on it in the first place. Been on ADT for almost 8 years, Zytiga followed by Nubeqa, They never raised my cholesterol. They do it to some people.

@jeffmarc and MM - you can look into this one . I take 2.5 mg of Crestor ( so small of a dose - but it works with me , no need to take 5 mg pill , so I cut it in half ) and also : Ezetrol 10 mg, also known as ezetimibe, is a medication used to lower "bad" cholesterol (LDL) levels in the blood by reducing its absorption in the intestines. It is typically prescribed alongside diet and lifestyle changes to help manage high cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. With me I noticed a 4KG loss of weight when I started Ezatrol . I think it blocks some of th high calorie saturated fats , hence lower weight . From what I was told it reduces Fat absorption by 30-60 % in the average person my Dr said . So you still have to watch yoru diet , but this helps . for me zero side effects . Doesnt seem to affect PSA readings . In fact I read one science review that statins reduce cancer lesions growth etc ... a number of them out there , however im not sure of the science per se , and efficacy with cancers .
