Olive oil. I take a teaspoon a day. I had a blockage due to adhesions from previous surgeries last December. I was using miralax daily for a couple months and was worried about the long term effects. Research olive oil for this. There have been studies. Since using a teaspoon a day of olive oil I only have needed the miralax maybe 2 times in several months. I also met with the nutritionist at Mayo to help me learn a safe diet and slowly introduce certain foods again. Good luck.
