Most Osteoporosis is caused by decrease of estrogen during and after menopause. For some there are underlying causes. So you can do many things "right" and still get Osteoporosis.

Read Dr John Lees book.
In enclosing a link to his website because searching Dr. John Lee brings up several names.
https://www.johnleemd.com/
He passed away several years ago.
In his practice, he found that Estrogen dominance was a problem. Especially during the time prempro and the likes were being prescribed by their doctors in the1980s and/or 1990s to many women. (My mom was one, but never had breast cancer)
In his practice, the women who were estrogen dominant were voluntarily put on progesterone cream.
According to Dr. Lee, he saw outstanding results in reversing osteoporosis. Yes, Reversing osteoporosis by his patients taking Progesterone cream (or yam cream)
Did he have a clinical study on this?
I dont think so. He was very busy as a practicing doctor who saw patterns in his patients and researched. He found that progesterone or yam cream offset the estrogen via monitoring his patients result. Its in his book.
Women who have or who have had progesterone positive cancer SHOULD NOT do this unless counseled by their doctors.
I hope this information helps.
Best!
