Hi all, I'm curious to learn from those of you whose doctors are conservative about prescribing a vest -- what is the reason for the hesitation? I don't know if my docs are "conservative" about vests or not, but they suggested it, prescribed it, and I've found it helpful. So I'm wondering why hold back?

@lvnl Here are some reasons my Pulmonologist gave me: Not everyone needs it, cumbersome, expensive, not appropriate for people with spine issues or osteoporosis, many people try it and put it aside, difficult for people who travel.

@lvnl My "conservative" MN docs do prescribe it for those who need it, and are willing to put up with it. Their avid high intensity exercisers don't normally need it, since our AC occurs naturally. Each of us is different with different lifestyle choices, but our BE and MAC/MAI is our common glue. Throughout this site, there's several people who took up running in order to "avoid the cumbersome vest", but there's also others who exercise while wearing it. Happy that you are getting help with yours! Terri
