May I harmonize with you? I know the words! Three steps to unload the dishwasher to avoid total exhaustion: each section ( silverware. Glasses & Cups then plates and bowls. Pans) require s 3 separate efforts to accomplish the unloading. What once was 20 to 30 min now requires 1 hr! Every activity requires planning. Energy required for task. Energy required for recovery. Adjustments made to obtain assistance with housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping. So frustrating I feel like Sisyphus trying to move that boulder uphill.

I have been right where you are and feel for you… 3 years post Covid, that changed pretty much everything and with SOB essentially doing nothing! All of which has necessitated learning how to do many normal daily activities in new ways, that are tedious and very time consuming and can be frustrating!
From a well trained pulmonologist, who took 2 years to be connected to and 6 months wait for an appointment, I learned that many long Covid patients have difficulty with the muscles extracting the amount of oxygen they need yet O2 sats can be normal, so the fatigue is hard to quantify with normal parameters. The muscles are not getting the oxygen needed to propel them and therefore the fatigue sets in from a different mechanism than would be from exercise that might mediate exhaustion with lactic acid it’s different than that. So things to do just make sure it isn’t heart related if that hasn’t been checked out and then try to be active in like 10 minute high intensity little sessions to try to approve improve your muscle extraction
I am a little improved blood pressure was erratic that has stabilized I had borderline POTS a year ago, that has stabilized, so am hopeful for improvement that likely will not be a full recovery. Have to be persistent and go one day at a time! Long Covid is tough, with the medical path thar is very convoluted and still uncharted in some ways. Good that you found ways to manage and can get help with the things that may be more difficult
Positive energy to you and hope for better healing on your journey!
