My chronic fatigue varies in intensity. Sometimes it seems to be increased if I don't sleep well. Exercise, even very limited exercise like unloading and loading the dishwasher, can sometimes knock me out for hours. I recently pushed myself driving for a couple of hours. I was down for two days afterward. It's just a continuing limitation on how much I can do. Very frustrating.

I am in a similar boat. I just got back from Mayo and they did a pulse oximetry study and a Holter monitor. This showed wildly fluctuating oxygen levels and high heart rate whether awake or sleeping, regardless of activity.

If you have a high heart rate, any kind of exertion whether that be mental or physical can be exhausting. I also found out I have postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) which manifests as getting lightheaded and tired after leaning over, bending, or getting up from lying down. I learned from my visit at Mayo that these symptoms are common in people with long COVID.

I also have a kind of tachycardia that occurs at all times, including sleeping. No wonder I am so wiped out.
