@butterbean5,
Welcome to Mayo Connect. To match you up with members who have had similar radiation experience, would you care to share what type of cancer you were being treated for? Was the radiation to your throat?

One person said Manuka honey helped, mix with a little warm water and sip. Might help you.

I had trachael cancer, and my throat was very sore for the first weeks after radiation. You will find it heals over time. I think after two months I no longer noticed it, though I avoided spicy, crunchy, and overly hot foods.

Good luck!

A little over a year ago I had high dose radiation to stop bleeding from malignant lesion on kidney. Bleeding was stopped and I had no side effects.

@ronsale
I don't know what radiation you "might" be having, but I had 30 rounds after a mastectomy last year. Had zero side effects. Best of luck to you.
