I started Repatha 3 doses back. Won't be a 4th. First 2 unremarkable. I started to get optimistic thinking this may work. Short lived optimism. After the 3rd injection (140 ml) flu like symptoms, BP became higher, (and remains high) and the worst was mood swings, nervousness and not myself. I'm in excellent health, I row every other day, very good diet. MET score of 17.2 in march, stent in LAD. Yes the numbers were great, 104 TC, 37 LDL. However I cannot in good sound conscious do the 4th injection. Never in my life other than dealing with grief have I ever had mood swings. I see my cardiologist Thursday. Could not take traditional statins as they caused neurocognitive events. The Repatha was worse. I have no inking as to how I will proceed going forward. For those of you who can tolerate this medication you are very lucky as it is effective, however when you quality of life is this disrupted its not a difficult decision...

@johnjtgg PS. I also am very active, eat healthy foods and I’m not overweight, have low normal blood pressure. The only meds I take are for thyroid.

@johnjtggI think one of the issues for Repatha is that it is relatively new and more studies need to be done. Currently, it seems that few side effects are listed or if they are, providers assume they are quite rare. Good luck with your situation and let us know what is suggested.
