Welcome Patricia!
Feel free to reach out any time if you need support or feedback. This group has helped me tremendously.
@lPane73 Patricia I too have neuropathy and osteoporosis. My conditions are probably related to gluten sensitivity. You may want to get tested for such. My neuropathy is not painful at all and luckily, I do not have balance issues. I am doing some strength training in a cautious manner. Sensible shoes help too. This website will offer you a variety of perspectives and advice.
Hello Everyone,
I have been diagnosed with spinal Stenosis and lumbar spondylosis. It looks like I am a good candidate
for the Minuteman G5 to go between my L4 & L5. I've searched everywhere (and put out an APB on
this medium) for reviews. I am 73 years old. Lower back pain and left thigh pain. Nerves are being pinched
in L4 and L5 also between L5 and S1. Read the minuteman has a limitation for the L5 and S1. Lots of positive
reviews on You Tube by the manufacturer. Did see some on this medium by older people with other problems,
now I can't find them. Any reviews either positive or negative would be appreciated. Thanks.
I am Judy and have spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis. I was also given a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylosis. I have done everything I possibly could to reduce my pain. Yoga regularly, cut out sugar and changed my diet. I try not to over use ibuprofen. I have taken Humira, gabapentin ,tramadol and have had ablation. I find that only the yoga and diet changes have helped but by mid day I am always suffering with pain. I no longer take any medications but use supplements. I do also use CBD/ with small amount of THC at night to help me sleep. I have also started using red light therapy with some moderate success. The pain is always there in varing degrees.

1 ReactionGreetings! My name is Elle. I have various conditions and have been in Chronic Pain since the late 70s. I'm presently having problems finding a new pain medication that works to any extent. I have tried most pain prescriptions and found Fentanyl was the best in preventing me from passing out from the pain. I was able to use Fentanyl for 24 years until our local DEA said no more prescribing of Fentanyl unless you're suffering from a terminal condition (i.e., cancer). I'm allergic to Morphine, which causes me to experience auditory and visual hallucinations. Are there any suggestions out there for what I could recommend to my Pain Doctor to try? Your time and consideration of this matter are very much appreciated.

1 Reaction@judiannwi You need to find a pain specialist at a reputable hospital who may be able to try some minimally procedures. I have one who tried 10 procedures including a spinal stimulator. I have spoken nap stenosis and degenerative disc disease. We tried everything. Until something new develops, I’m on Norco. I live alone and I’m a young 73 years old with no underlying conditions like high blood pressure or colosturel. I live in a big house and need to downsize. Living with pain sucks.
@linda6101 . I am also 73. I live with my husband in a large house and are taking steps to down size. This pain think sure does suck. It has been 8 years of this. I live in area where health care is a challenge. I have to travel to see a specialist.
Greetings Elle @ellece, Sorry to hear that you can no longer get what has helped you with the pain. You are not alone with having trouble finding a new pain medication. While you wait for other members to respond, I did a search of Connect and found others looking for an alternative to Fentanyl. Here's is a list of other discussions and member comments - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/.
Not sure if this will help but it does discuss some alternative medications and treatments if you haven't already tried them.
