Hopefully your second doctor will take an aspiration and try to culture it. Not sure what blood tests were ordered, but a Sed rate (ESR) and CRP should be included. Unfortunately, I've had several infections and revisions, along with heavy doses of antibiotics.
I wish you the best in finding out if an infection can be ruled out. Keep us posted.

sorry for delayed reply - we did rule out any infection, and I also had my blood tested for clotting and any other abnormalities.
I am still doing really well with no setbacks - its been almost a year from the revision and 6 months from last GAE. I'm playing pickleball 2-3 times a week, working up to even more!!
