So far, I have completed 5 of my 12 monthly Evenity injections. With each injection, I was also getting more (not my usual) muscle and joint pains - even while I was sleeping / resting. (I had also just had spine fusion surgery - along with years of arthritis which added more to my body trying to keep up & repair itself). My calcium levels (taken before each monthly injection) were going up and down. With this last injection, my nurse said my calcium levels were still heading in the wrong direction & if I was just relying on my food intake, that it is nearly impossible to get enough calcium. I went home & did my research. I have now switched from taking just my my usual "Daily Senior Multiple Vitamin" (w/calcium of 288mg/22%DV/Vit D of 1,000IU) along with 1 Vit D capsule (2,000IU = 375%DV total) and "an occasional Tums" for more calcium, to ditching both the occasional Tums & the Vit D capsule. Currently - each morning after breakfast - I am still taking my usual "Daily Senior Multiple Vitamin", but I have also added a "Calcium Dietary Supplement Tablets" (600mg calcium / 800IU Vit D). Then later in the day - with my next big meal, I am taking a second "Calcium Dietary Supplement Tablet"). This has brought my total guaranteed calcium & Vit D levels to a basic & steady 1,488mg (114%DV), and my Vitamin D levels lowered from 3,000 to 2,600 IU (325% DV). So far - in my case - this has done wonders for my unusual & unexplainable overall daily joint & muscle pains (except for my one knee, but I know that knee hurts due to it being diagnosed as being "bone on bone" & I am just waiting until after I finish with my 12 months of Evinity & for my spine surgery to finish fusing before I deal with my knee). Also - very important to remember - is that - since we all have different needs - to be sure to check with your doctor or infusion nurse to get their recommendations on what your particular needs might be.

Did you say you had spinal fusion? If so how are you doing?
